New to Brew - Beginner Homebrewing Class

Have you ever wondered how brewers combine grain, hops, yeast and water to make delicious beer? Ever thought of making some yourself? Join us on Sunday, January 11 from 9am to 1pm to discover how in our New To Brew - Beginner Homebrewing class!

SCMB staff will lead attendees though a hands-on homebrewing session while we brew a 5 gallon batch of beer using a cominbation of grain and malt extract. Meanwhile, SCMB Brewer Michael Paine will be on site, demonstrating how SCMB uses its 7bbl system to brew delicious, organic beer.  Finally, trained staff members will discuss recipe development, while leading guests though a tour of the brewery and complimentary beer tasting.

This class is open to anyone over 21 years of age. It is designed as an introductory class and is suitable for those with zero brewing experience as well as intermediate-level brewers who are looking to expand their homebrewing knowledge.
