About Neon Dreamer Art Installation - Interactive "Pacman" Pop up!

Kaiwa Art & Play Space is excited to host a one night only pop-up art installation of the interactive art and video work of Edita Pattova from Prague! Come see and "play" the artwork this coming Tuesday, August 15th from 4:30-7pm!

"The 'Neon Dreamer' consists of nine oil paintings and a game inspired by the old-school video game “Pacman”. The canvases depict a universal American city where the spectators can project their desires and excitement. Projected on the painting is a video game I designed, that jumps between the conjoined canvases, lighting up the representations of the “Neon Lights” in the city. Combining the two mediums creates an interactive projection for spectators to play the game. Using a phone or tablet, each participant can create his own story. Neon Dreamer is a multimedia art project focused on movement in all ways. The images move around the canvas, people move around the painting and the project itself will move throughout the United States. My plan is to drive from town to town, setting up the art piece and game at random locations. People passing by will be invited to play the game and for those that stop, the goal is to teach or reteach the gift of enjoying the present and become more conscious to look around and see the beauty that surrounds us in our daily routine."
