National Beer Day at Elkhorn Slough Brewing Co.

April 7 is National Beer Day! Come out to Elkhorn Slough Brewing Co. and join in on the celebration.

We are bringing our latest creation—mole nachos! Your choice of shredded chicken and/or roasted veggies are served on a bed of our homemade tortilla chips, topped with two sauces: our signature mole & our new mole queso (a four-blend cheese sauce), and garnished with diced fresh tomato & jalapeño. You haven't tried gourmet nachos until you've had these.

April 7 marks the day the Cullen-Harrison Act was enacted in 1933. It allowed people to buy, sell and drink beer containing up to 3.2% alcohol by weight (or 4.05% by volume) in states that had enacted their own law allowing such sales. People across the country responded by gathering outside breweries, some beginning the night before. On that first day, 1.5 million barrels of beer were consumed, inspiring the future holiday.

Elkhorn Slough Brewing Co. will be open from 1 to 8 PM, and we'll be serving food from 4 to 8 PM.
