Mountain Spirit Writing Group
About Mountain Spirit Writing Group
The Mountain Spirit Writing Group meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Led by Wendy Ledger, this group is designed to support and inspire writers of all levels. We request a $15 donation for the class. Bring a notebook and pen. It's time to write!
Each month, we will write on a series of prompts that are meant to encourage you to tell your story. The prompts could be about people, places, things, or moments in time. Each prompt will be a surprise. By not knowing the prompt in advance, you get to pick up your pen and begin your journey at wherever you are in that moment. Please come join us and experience this form of writing. It is a powerful medicine for our everyday lives.
Wendy Ledger has an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and has taught there as a lecturer in intoductory creative writing. Through the University of California Berkeley Extension, she has been awarded certification in the Professional Sequence in Editing program. Her work has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle and in the East Bay Express. She is a member of the Association of Personal Historians and currenlty is the editor of the APH newsletter, the Perstorian. She also write the blog, A Study of "The Good Wife," at http://weledger.typepad.come/a_study_of_the_good_wife/
