Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia live in the old farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania where they were raised by their now-deceased, Chekhov-loving professor parents. They spend endless, boring, dreary days staring out the window at the pond, bickering, and debating whether they have a cherry orchard or just a few cherry trees. Then, suddenly, their sister Masha, a larger than life, world-famous movie actress, arrives to attend a costume party in the neighborhood. Masha brings along dwarf costumes for her siblings so they can support her as Snow White, as well as her hunky, way-too-young boy toy, Spike. Throw in the young, aspiring actress Nina, the evil Hootie Pie, and Cassandra, the prophesizing voodoo-loving housekeeper, shake well, and out comes a play that the New York Times calls “Deliriously funny! . . . The theater erupts in booming gusts of laughter that practically shake the seats!”

Advisory: Some strong language, some mild adult themes and content.

The show is directed by MCT veteran Peter Gelblum. The cast features both MCT favorites, as well as new faces that we are proud to present to MCT audiences for the first time including W. Scott Whisler, Daria E. Troxell, Robin Aronson, Correll Barca-Hall, Ashley Sue Perry, and Sasha Voigt.
