About Mission San Antonio de Padua's Annual Mission Days
Mission San Antonio de Padua will once again host its annual Mission Days event on Saturday April 11, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mission Days allows visitors to experience early California, with historical re-enactors in costume portraying soldiers, vaqueros on horseback, artisans, musicians and dancers. Mission crafts and activities will be demonstrated, including weaving, rope making, adobe brick making, candle making, beading, acorn grinding, tortilla making, and much more. Members of the New World Baroque Orchestra and Choir, under the direction of John Warren, will play mission era music in the 202 year old Mission Church. Artists will also be present to display and offer for sale their original artwork.
Mission San Antonio is surrounded by Fort Hunter Liggett, and is conveniently reached by publically accessible roads. The Mission’s address is 1 Mission Road in Jolon, in southern Monterey County. Admission (includes Parking) is $10.00/car. Authentic mission era food will be offered for $10.00/plate.
