About Literacy Orientation and Training

An adult learner needs your help - Become a volunteer tutor

Volunteer Tutor Orientations - Join the Literacy Program of the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County for a free one-hour orientation to learn more about becoming a tutor to a motivated adult English language learner. No teaching or foreign language skills necessary, just a desire to be of service. This is a great opportunity to learn more details about the extensive tutor training provided for all interested individuals and to determine if this is the right volunteer fit for your time, interest, and skill.

Orientations are available in both our Santa Cruz and Watsonville Offices:

Monday, Nov. 10th, 6 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 13th, 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 6th, 6 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 10th, 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 13th, 6 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 2nd, 6 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 7th, 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Mar. 4th, 6 p.m.

Watsonville Volunteer Center, 12 Carr Street:
