Light Rain, Crystal Silmi & Raks Arabi, Helene & Belly Dance International

Light Rain bring their unique hybrid of American and Arabic music to charm the dancers. With the moody violin of Doug Adamz, the haunting melodies from the guitar and banjo of Russ Gauthier, dynamic drumming of Tim Bolling, and the bluesy base of Bill Amanteek, they create mysterious and romantic music which sings to the gypsy in our souls.

Crystal Silmi: International Bellydance instructor and performer Crystal Silmi currently resides in Madrid, Spain. She is director of the Raks Arabi Dance Company and is reunited in this spectacular show with members: Jill Baker and Amber Dratz. Also featured are stunning soloists: Janette, Sese, Kristy, Isadorah, and Chelsie.

Helene is director of Belly Dance International and has been teaching, performing, and promoting Middle Eastern and North African dance and music for over 25 years. She was a recipient of the Gail Rich Award in 2002 for her significant contribution to the arts in Santa Cruz County.
