Light Rain and Crystal Silmi

Light Rain: The legendary Light Rain band have been playing for Bellydancers since the sixties, and have also inspired performances by the San Francisco Ballet, and the Joffrey Ballet, with Doug Adamz music having been featured in Robert Altman's movie The Company about the Joffrey Ballet. With their unique hybrid of Arabic and American musical sensibilities they have made a niche of their own in this diverse musical world, and they are considered to be one of the pioneers of New Age and World Beat music. Doug Adamz plays violin and recorder, Russ Gaughtier on mandolin, guitar, and banjo, Bill Amateek on bass, and Tim Bolling on percussion.
