Monkeyhands: Monkeyhands is a unique five piece Santa Cruz band that consistently delivers excitement and inventiveness, both lyrical and musical. The band has infectious enthusiasm during shows which easily transfers to audience members. Their influences include such diverse genres as Funk, Ska, Blues, Rockabilly, and Folk. Michael Hulter is lead singer and guitarist but their unique sound is partially generated by each person writing their own parts. Some of the Monkeyhands sound has come about due to members past participation in such local bands as The Leftovers, Mark London & The Supergreens, Andy Pancakes & the Continental Breakfast, Ginger & Juice, and Dead in 100 Years to name a few.
