Kurt Elling

Kurt Elling is one of the most recognized and respected voices in jazz today, not bad for a former college philosophy major. Since debuting on Blue Note Records over seventeen years ago, Elling has grown into an artist of renowned ability and critical acclaim. He has been voted Male Vocalist of the Year a record-setting 14 times by DownBeat magazine’s Critics Poll. After nine previous Grammy nominations, he won the 2009 Best Vocal Jazz Album Grammy award for Dedicated To You. His latest record release, Passion World, is a travelogue of love songs from around the world, stylishly sung in their native languages, from English to Icelandic.
