About Kombucha Making Class

Kombucha Making Class ($10) on Saturday, June 10 from 10:30 to noon in Ben Lomond. Instructor: Suzanne Schrag

Kombucha is a fermented tea rich in probiotics. You can make it at home with a few simple ingredients and tools. This class will cover the basics to get you brewing your own kombucha.

Ingredients for homemade kombucha
What is a SCOBY and what does it do?
Tools and equipment you’ll need
Flavoring and second fermentation

There will be samples of some different flavors to taste, and starter SCOBYs available for class participants. We’ll take an optional field trip to Mountain Feed and Farm—a great source for kombucha-brewing supplies—after the class.

Suzanne Schrag started brewing homemade kombucha a few years ago because she is cheap. She continues brewing it because it tastes good and does nice things for her health.

The class is at a private home on Quail Hollow Rd, NOT at the Park. Register by paying the $10 fee and we’ll send you the address: http://timebanksantacruz.org/events
