Jonathan Franzen: "Purity" Book Signing

Bookshop Santa Cruz is delighted to welcome award-winning author Jonathan Franzen for a discussion and signing of his highly anticipated new novel, Purity.
In Purity, Franzen has once again funneled the issues of our age through the drama of one family. The novel follows a young American, Purity Tyler—known by her Dickensian nickname ‘Pip’—as she searches for the father she never knew. Journeying to South America, she is drawn into the secrets of her own family past and the secrets of state, when she crosses paths with a charismatic internet hacker.
Jonathan Franzen is a novelist, essayist and frequent contributor to The New Yorker. He is the author of five novels, including Freedom, and The Corrections, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and for which he won the National Book Award.
TICKET PACKAGES: $30.45, includes one ticket to the event and one copy of Purity.
Tickets cannot be shipped, must be PREPAID, and must be picked up at Bookshop Santa Cruz or at Will Call (starting at 6:30) at the Santa Cruz High School Theater.
This event is a book launch for Franzen's new novel, Purity. You will receive your copy of the book at the event that night, one day before the official release of the title.
