Guitarist-vocalist John Pizzarelli makes no secret of his musical influences: Nat King Cole, João Gilberto, Frank Sinatra, and his father, jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli. John is an unabashed champion of the Great American Songbook standards, and his flair for inventive song arrangements, regardless of music genre, is second to none. But now he takes on the works of a more contemporary songwriting giant, this one a former Beatle from “across the pond.” John’s soon-to-be-released record focuses on the songs of Paul McCartney, including those recorded by The Beatles.
