Intro to Permaculture Design (Free Talk!)

Free talk led by David Shaw. Permaculture design is a method of landscape planning that can be applied to anything, from a home garden or farm to a city block or entire village. It is an ethically based whole-systems design approach that uses concepts, principles, and methods derived from ecosystems, indigenous peoples, and other time-tested systems to create human settlements and institutions.

David Shaw is a Permaculture and whole systems designer, facilitator, and educator, as well as founder of Santa Cruz Permaculture and the UCSC Common Ground Center. He has taught agroecology at UCSC since 2004. David works with people worldwide to build healthy, resilient connections with themselves, each other, and the natural world.
