About How to Meditate While Thinking

Lama Lena will teach on “How to Meditate While Thinking,” focusing on the transition from Calm Abiding meditation to the “Yoga of Dancing Stillness.” With over 40 years of dharma study and practice, she is known to many as a teacher of “Direct Mind Perception” meditation and presents in an earthy, humorous, insightful and authentic style.
Lama Lena, starting in 1972, spent three years studying with Lama Thubten Yeshe at his monastery in Nepal, then found her root teacher, Dzogchen Master Ven.Wangdor Rimpoche. For seven years, she stayed in retreat and practiced as a yogini in a small cave in India above Tso Pema, home of the Holy Caves of Guru Rimpoche.
For many years, she traveled extensively with Wangdor Rimpoche as his translator and assistant. At the request of His Eminence Zigar Choktrul Rinpoche and Ven. Wangdor Rinpoche, as well as many Western and Tibetan dharma students – she travels and teaches to those at all levels of dharma practice.
Lama Lena has also studied Chinese medicine and when she is not traveling, teaching or translating, she works providing medical assistance to the Tibetan refugee community as well as the local Indian villagers and mountain tribes people in India.

In the traditional Buddhist style, she teaches by donation only. All contributions support Lama Lena’s travel, teaching and numerous projects. Friday's session, 7-9 pm; Saturday's sessions, 11am-1pm & 3-5 pm.
