Home Coffee Roasting Class
About Home Coffee Roasting Class
Have you ever thought about roasting your own fresh coffee beans?
Home coffee roasting is an incredibly rewarding hobby that helps you save money while drinking gourmet coffee every day. Unroasted, green coffee beans like the wide selection of organic and fair-trade, single origin beans offered by Seven Bridges Organic Brewing Supply can be purchased cheaply and last for months unroasted on your countertop. You can roast a week's worth of beans in under 15 minutes using equipment you already have at home, or with specialized home coffee roasters.
This class will be an introduction of home coffee roasting, with live demonstrations of how to roast green beans using a stove top burner and frying pan, a FreshRoast electric roaster, and a Behmor 1600+ electronic drum roaster. We will also discuss how different roast levels affect coffee flavors and an overview of what flavors to expect from what coffee origins. Between roasts, we will also have a coffee sampling to demonstrate the differences roasting techniques can have in your cup of coffee and how you can customize your roast for exactly what you like in your morning cup.
