About Handler Fitness & Footwork for Agility
This class is designed to teach handlers how to improve their fitness level and footwork technique. This course will cover the how and why of proper warm-ups, stretching, sense of balance, body awareness, acceleration, and foot coordination. You will learn exercises designed to develop the necessary skills to improve your agility performance. Your improvements as an athlete will enhance your dog’s performance and create a more symbiotic team on the course.
Deby has many years of fitness training experience as a Health & Physical Education Teacher, an Aerobics Instructor, Coach of a state champion H.S. Boys & Girls Indoor/Outdoor Track team, and a Certified Fitness Instructor for the Dept. of Justice Employees. Deby began training her Springer Spaniel Dazy in agility in 2012 and is now training at Living With Dogs.
This class has been a huge success in the past so don't miss out!
Goals for this class
-Help the handler with basic tips to include attire, hydration, and attitude.
-Effective warm-ups for the handler to minimize injuries.
-Proper stretching techniques to minimize injuries and improve the handlers agility.
-Practice drills for the owner to improve footwork and minimize the fear of falling and improve spacial awareness.
-Body awareness and balance to improve your overall movement and confidence on the course.

Target Audience: People who come from a minimal - a non-athletic background or are desirous of learning new tips.
