About Guitar Poetry ~ Solo Recital by Johannes Möller w/Guest Percussionist Neel Agrawal

NewMusicWorks' 2017-18 season begins with supreme guitar artistry. A performance of breathtaking range, from dazzling bravura to autumnal intimacy.

Swedish-born guitarist and composer, Johannes Möller brings electrifying virtuosity and extraordinary worldliness to Santa Cruz!! Chinese, North Indian, and Western music traditions are encompassed in a program of mercurial plucks, strums and even some drumming.
Möller will perform new works of his own and others for solo guitar. He will also play North-Indian-inspired works, some with tabla accompaniment, performed by percussionist, Neel Agrawal.
Möller is an international phenomena, a winner of innumerable prizes (including First Place in the GFA International Competition in 2010) but more importantly, a creator of glistening new guises for the guitar.
