About Get Fit Holiday Happy Hour

Get fit while donating to a local nonprofit this holiday season! BodyFit, Santa Cruz’s newest Pilates fusion studio, will be hosting a special Get Fit Holiday Happy Hour workout event at Parish Publick House in Santa Cruz at 9:00 a.m. on December 17th, with holiday libations donated by Tito’s Handmade Vodka to follow. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County.

The Get Fit Holiday Happy Hour event will start with a class sure to have your abs and glutes thanking you! BodyFit owners Taryn and Ashley will co-teach a fusion class combining their two signature classes: BodyFit and BarreFit. Designed to diminish the gut and perk your butt, their workout keeps your muscles guessing and growing stronger for a burn so good you’ll beg for more—just in time for your get fit New Year resolutions. Whether you’re an avid Pilates or barre student, or looking to spice up your workout regime, this is a fun way to try something new…after all, when else do you get to try out a barre class in a bar?!

After the workout class, meet Erik, BodyFit’s Mr. December and co-owner of Parish Publick House, who is generously donating the venue for this fundraising event. He’ll have pub snacks waiting in the recovery zone, and will be flexing his biceps and working those triceps (he is a BodyFit student!) as he whips up his signature mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. All food and beverages will be donated by event sponsors, Parish Publick House and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, both of which are huge supporters of local nonprofits and charities.

Wishing to extend the holiday cheer further, BodyFit will donate all registration fees and any extra donations from BodyFit’s Get Fit Holiday Happy Hour to Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County. With a mission “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, productive citizens,” the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County is a youth service organization promoting youth guidance through educational, vocational, recreational, social, and character development. Donations support Club kids by funding academic and recreational programming, organized sports, art and dance classes, teen programs, summer reading programs, free snacks and nutrition classes, field trips and the staff needed to run these programs. Dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles through their workout classes, BodyFit is excited to become a community partner with Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County and support their efforts in guiding local youth towards a happy and healthy life.

This event is limited to 20 students. Register in person at BodyFit’s Westside studio, located at 546 Palm Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Registration is $35 per person, with any extra donation going directly to Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County. The event will be held at Parish Publick House, located at 841 Almar Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. New students will receive special pricing to try out a regularly scheduled BodyFit class.
