About Fundamentals of Kung Fu

What do you know about Kung Fu?
Kung Fu is so many things, and if we limit ourselves to what we see in the movies we are really cutting short most of its greatness.

As a 5000 year old art, you might imagine that there is more to Kung Fu than flying through the air and kicking butt in a dark alley. Because it is a "martial" art--that is, its original development came from early warfare--it encompasses strategy, health preservation, efficient movement, strength-building, flexibility, vision, cooperation, 'workout' and a constant involvement of your mind. "No brain, no gain" is practically the keystone of traditional Chinese martial arts and Kung Fu.

If you have always wondered what authentic Kung Fu feels like, this is a great place to find out. This class will teach you a Kung Fu Linked Form designed by one of the world's top teachers, Adam Hsu. An extraordinary practice, the Linking Fist comes out of Long Fist Kung Fu, the mother of such styles as Shaolin and Xing Yi. This form is simple to learn, fun to practice, and it is geared toward modern practitioners with no moves repeated, adaptable to either side of the body, or alterable into a form twice its initial size. After learning the basic format all these variations, including usage, will be shown.
