About Fresh off Strawberry Music Fest The Risky Biscuits join The Good Bad for heel-kicking Newgrass, Bluegrass & Americana
The Risky Biscuits: From the Sierra Nevada foothills, the Risky Biscuits bring an original mix of heel-kicking stompers and humble ballads, creating an eclectic mix of Americana, bluegrass, and country. With six members total and guest musicians sitting in on every show, we never deliver the same performance twice. Catch one of our shows and you'll know we're in it for the music. They are making their second appearance on the mainstage at the Strawberry Music Festival this September.
The Good Bad: "Hailing from San Francisco CA, The Good Bad have been a part of the exploding newgrass/bluegrass scene on the west coast since 2010. They have shared the stage with favorites like The Brothers Comatose, The Lil' Smokies, The Last Revel, One Grass Two Grass and Front Country. The Good Bad bring a raucous and high-energy take on the string band sound. With mesmerizing stage presence and songwriting that combines influences ranging from Scruggs to Sublime, from The Devil Makes Three to The Delta Blues. Vocal Harmony and versatility is staple to their craft and they've honed it to deliver a true good time sound that goes best with a dash of whiskey. The five-piece progressive bluegrass/newgrass ensemble features Aaron Lanes (mandolin, guitar), Thomas Beneduci (guitar, dobro), Paul Geoghan(bass), Shane Kalbach (fiddle), and Peter Dominici (banjo).”
