Free Family Movie - the Grinch

Come to the Deal Mar Theatre on Saturday, December 19th for a FREE Family Movie, as the Nickelodeon Theatres along with the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz present a screening of The Grinch (the 2000 Jim Carrey version) for children and their families with a donation (non-perishable food or cash) for The Second Harvest Food Drive.

Oscar winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer go to Whoville to bring the world’s best-loved grump to life in this hilarious celebration of the true holiday spirit, which stars Jim Carrey.

The curmudgeonly recluse Grinch, who hates Christmas, becomes annoyed with the out-of-control Christmas festivities in Whoville, the town lying below his cave dwelling on Mt. Crumpit. But after the Grinch conspires to deprive the Who’s of their favorite holiday by sneaking into town on Christmas eve to steal everything associated with the holiday, he learns that the spirit of Christmas goes much deeper than tinsel and toys.
