Fiddle Music Magic with Nigel Armstrong

As current Concert Master for the Santa Cruz Symphony, Nigel Armstrong is emerging as a dynamic and creative artist both within and beyond the realm of classical music. From his musical beginnings as a member of "The Little Fiddlers" in Sonoma, CA to collaborations with tango musicians in Argentina, he's enjoyed using the violin in a versatile manner throughout his life. Nigel enjoys playing "fiddle music" of various sorts...exploring different traditions of musical expression such as jazz, bluegrass, and tango. Nigel Armstrong and Friends will likely include all these sounds and more in this benefit for Santa Cruz Symphony League. Joining Nigel at this event is Mads Tolling, an internationally renowned violinist, composer, and two-time Grammy Award-winner from Denmark. As a classical violinist, Mads discovered his passion for American music at the age of 14 when his father gave him a Miles Davis cassette tape that changed his life forever.
