About Exploring the San Lorenzo River

The San Lorenzo River watershed is home to birds and bugs, fish and funghi, you and me! Explore the river ecosystem during the 2nd Annual Exploring the San Lorenzo River Series hosted by the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History and the Coastal Watershed Council. Learn from local naturalists, scientists and artists during this weekly series, held at a different location along the river every Saturday February 3-April 21.

Saturday, February 3
During this first tour of the series, hone your most important naturalist skill: astute observation! Practice making observations and connecting to the river as a naturalist. Use the tools of exploration to find wildlife and discover things you’ve never noticed, and learn about river ecology. This tour will be led by Dan Lazarus the Recreation Program Specialist at Quail Hollow Ranch and is great for kids!

Pre-registration is required. Visit https://coastal-watershed.org/event/exploring-san-lorenzo-river-tour-series-kickoff/ to register for this free event and to find out the exact meeting location.
