About Election forum in San Lorenzo Valley
On April 26, 2016, from 7-9 pm, the Valley Women’s Club, League of Women Voters, and Boulder Creek Business Association will sponsor an election forum at the San Lorenzo Valley Elementary School multi-purpose room, 7155 Highway 9, Felton. The forum will provide the public an opportunity to hear about the candidates and issues on the June 7 ballot.
The forum will feature candidates for 5th District Supervisor, Bruce McPherson, Bill Smallman, and Roy Kaylor; a presentation from Jim Mosher regarding Measure S (library parcel tax); and pro and con presentations from Gary Reece, Cabrillo College Board of Trustees, and Ray Kaupp, Cabrillo College business professor, respectively, regarding Measure Q (Cabrillo College bond). The candidates and measure proponents and opponents will make statements and answer questions from the audience.
Bill Monning, incumbent and candidate for the 17th State Senate seat, will not be present, but Palmer Kain, who is opposing Monning, will be present to meet the public. Mark Stone, incumbent and candidate for the 29th Assembly District seat, will not be present. Sierra Roberts, who is opposing Stone, has been invited to be present to meet the public.
Light refreshments will be provided.
