Dr. Monica Sharma at Bookshop

On January 11, 2018, Dr. Monica Sharma will present her recent new release Radical Transformational Leadership at Bookshop Santa Cruz. Dr. Sharma helped launch Leadership for Community Transformation Santa Cruz County in 2012 through the United Way of Santa Cruz County. The program was founded by Megan Joseph, supported by United Way of Santa Cruz County and designed and facilitated by Dr. Monica Sharma of the United Nations. The program was specifically created to leverage the unique potential of Santa Cruz County to work together to create a community where everyone thrives, and is based on Dr. Sharma’s framework for sustainable social change developed over her twenty-five year career working globally to create measurable results. Since launching LCT in 2012, over 300 local leaders of all levels have completed the program and have been working to improve systems, policies and collaborations across the County. The book highlights change-makers across the globe, including from Santa Cruz County.
In Radical Transformational Leadership, Monica Sharma draws on more than thirty years of working for the United Nations and beyond to present a radical new approach to transformational leadership, one that creates systems of change where everyone can engage–not just analysts, policy makers, educators and business leaders.
