Democratic Women's Election Forum

About Democratic Women's Election Forum

On Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 10AM to Noon at the Santa Cruz Police Community Room (155 Center Street, Santa Cruz), the Democratic Women’s Club of Santa Cruz County (DWC) will be sponsoring a local candidates and ballot issues forum for the June 2018 election. (There will be a separate endorsement forum for the fall election in August.) The DWC Forum will cover two seats on the County Board of Supervisors, a City Council District race in Watsonville, contests for a Superior Court Judge, Sheriff, D.A., and County-wide positions, including School Superintendent, and several administrative positions as well as selected State and local ballot measures.

The DWC members will hear from and be able to endorse candidates who are registered Democrats. Where there are contested races among Democrats, there will be panels including questions from the Club leaders and members. Following presentations by candidates and with respect to any ballot measures, members of the DWC will decide on the Club’s endorsements and funding for candidates and issues.

Light refreshments will be served. This endorsement meeting will be free and open to the public, but only Club members who are current in their dues may vote.
