Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche will bestow a Tibetan Buddhist Empowerment of the "Heart Essence’of the Dakini", aka ‘Treasury of Accomplishments: The Practice of the Profound Path of the Dakini, Yeshe Tsogyal', a terma of Dudjom Rinpoche revealed as a gongter (mind treasure) in 1928.

Note: This will be the first of a series of dharma events that Vajrayana Foundation will hold at the Wisdom Center Santa Cruz with Lama Sonam Rinpoche. Watch for upcoming events on the first Wednesday of each month.

An empowerment is a door to tantric practice, giving you the power to perform and completely accomplish the practice, leading to the ripening of the pure nature of mind and the potential for liberation in a single lifetime. It is called dakini heart essence because it is a very special heart drop nectar of teachings in which all the essential instructions are complete.

This practice is a mind treasure off H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche, revealed directly to him by Yeshe Tsogyal. Yeshe Tsogyal, Guru Rinpoche’s consort, is the embodiment of all desirable qualities and enlightened activities, coming and going freely in the endless expanse of primordial wisdom. Guru Rinpoche said, “Yeshe Tsogyal is the perfect vessel to contain the essence of the precious tantric teachings.” Through doing this practice we have the opportunity to attain the same realization of Buddhahood as Yeshe Tsogyal.

Due to her great kindness and compassion, she sealed all the wisdom mind treasures of Guru Rinpoche everywhere, including in the mind, in the sky, in the earth and water. These treasures were hidden, in order to be revealed at the exact time when they would be most beneficial as fresh, potent and timely practices to benefit beings. This Yeshe Tsogyal practice is especially powerful for these degenerate times.

* Doors will be closed from 4:30-6:00 pm while Rinpoche prepares for the Empowerment. SEATING will begin at 6 pm
* Limited Seating. When we reach capacity, we are sorry to say that we will have to turn you away, so please arrive early.
* NO ADMITTANCE once the Empowerment begins, so please arrive early.
* Parking in Public Garage next to the venue and street meter parking. Park in the TJ's lot at your own risk of getting a ticket or tow.

Seating is first-come-first-served.
There will be chairs and about 20 cushions.
