Cesar Chavez Day of Service with the Homeless Garden Project

Join the Homeless Garden Project in celebrating Cesar Chavez and the activism that helped propel today’s food justice movement. Ines Marines will give a short speech about the farm worker justice movement and his mentor, Cesar Chavez.

We will be preparing for plantings on the farm by building, shaping and clearing beds, building compost piles and weeding. Come prepared to work outside and get dirty! Bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Closed toed shoes are required.

Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring lunch.
