About Capsula

Capsula are a rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their name is the Spanish word for capsule and derives from the David Bowie song "Space Oddity".

Influenced as much by 1960s South American psychedelic rock as by garage, they started in Argentina recording three albums: Sublime (1999), Yudoka (2000) and a recording of experimental rarities named Ultimo Fragmento (2000)

In 2013 the band will present a new collection of songs under the name Solar Secrets, to be recorded in Lexington with producer Tony Visconti, fresh from working on The Next Day, David Bowie's first studio album in a decade. Extremely vocal in regards to their unwavering appreciation and admiration for David Bowie and his music catalogue, Capsula are thrilled for the chance to work with Visconti, and the feeling is mutual. "Capsula is a serious rock trio, possessed of great musicianship with songs destined to be evergreens," remarked Tony Visconti. "I can't wait until our studio odyssey begins."

With Visconti at the helm, Capsula will experiment with a variety of sonic influences. Fans will recognize the trio's signature sound of blazing rock n' roll riffs, heart pounding drumbeats, and catchy vocal melodies.
