On Thursday, August 26, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. the California State Library Foundation (CSLF) will present the latest episode of Dear California on its YouTube channel. Hosted by Executive Director BrittneyDawn Cook, the CSLF invites Hui-Lan Titangos to discuss her new book Harriet G. Eddy & California County Libraries, a New Interpretation, a biographical research publication dedicated to the educator that organized the California County Library System more than a hundred years ago. Titangos has been a Collection Management Services Librarian for the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL) since 1999. Her book is now available at SCPL.

Dr. Michael Buckland, professor emeritus of the School of Information, UC Berkeley, will moderate the discussion. Dr. Buckland has served as dean of the School and planning coordinator for the University of California libraries. In 2021 he was honored with induction into the California Library Association's Hall of Fame. He worked personally with Titangos in the creation of the book.
