Caging Stones with Wire Jewelry Class
About Caging Stones with Wire Jewelry Class
Caging Stones with Wire,Sunday March 8th Sunday April 12th 1-5pm
In this class you will learn how to enclose a stone or other object into a metal "cage", so that it can be hung as a pendant or an earring. This technique allows you to use, in your jewelry designs, stones or objects that do not already have holes through them. You will learn some basic caging techniques, what types of wire to use, how to finish off your piece with a bail made with wire & how to add some basic wire design elements. All materials, including base metal wire & stones, are included in the cost of the class. You will design & create one or two finished pieces. You can bring your own wire, stones/objects, & tools, if you have them, but be aware that some stones are easier to cage than others & I will let you know if your stones will or will not work for this class. Tools will be available for use in class.
4-hour class $60
Bring a friend discount - $100 for two
