About Bloom of the Present Weekly Monday Evening Meditation

Please join us for this weekly drop-in meditation group.
The meeting will include a silent mindfulness meditation and Dharma talk on Buddhist teachings.
Led by Buddhist teacher, Carla Brennan.

*We meet every Monday evening, except for these Federal holidays in 2015: 1/19, 2/16, 5/25, 9/7, 10/12

DIRECTIONS: The Satellite, 6265 Highway 9, Felton, CA 95018.
It is between The White Raven and Don Quixote’s, across from New Leaf on Route 9 on the downtown strip of Felton. (www.thesatelliteinc.com). If you arrive before 7 PM there will be someone to let you in the front door of the Satellite. The doorway directly to our room is in the back of the building. If you arrive after 7 PM (after the meditation has started), you will need to walk to the back entrance and let yourself in. You can access the back area through a narrow alleyway between The White Raven and Chopstix Restaurant.

PARKING: There are about 6 parking spaces near the back entrance that are accessed from Gushee St. which runs parallel to Route 9. You can also park on Gushee St. (There are signs that say no parking but it is legal.) If you park on the Route 9 side and arrive before 7 pm, you can enter the front door of The Satellite.

DONATION: There is no fee charged for this group. There is a suggested sliding scale donation: $5 – $15 (more or less is gratefully accepted). No one is turned away due to lack of funds. Non-monetary donations also accepted.

HISTORY OF DHARMA IN FELTON: One of the earliest centers for Vipassana meditation in the West was in Felton (before Insight Meditation Center and Spirit Rock). The center was called the “Dharma Vihara” (Home of the Dharma) and started by Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, Robert Hall and others.
