Being Where We Are: A Day of Mindfulness

About Being Where We Are: A Day of Mindfulness

Please join us for a one-day retreat in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

Brandon Rennels, a member of Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing, Wake Up movement organizer and Teacher Development Manager at the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, will be our guide for the day and give a dharma talk. We will practice sitting and walking meditation, have a mindful meal together, and enjoy a quiet time of total relaxation. There will be time to share our reflections and ask questions of a panel of practitioners. Those new to meditation are welcome!

What to bring:

  • A vegetarian sack lunch and a little extra to share with your neighbor

  • A yoga mat or blanket for lying down during total relaxation, if you have one

  • A meditation cushion, if you have one

Please plan to arrive at 9:45 am to have time to get settled. Admission is free. Voluntary donations are welcome at the event.

Please register by April 7th to help us plan for the day.
