About Beggars Banquet, and Let It Bleed performed by the Beggar Kings
Musicscool Productions, and Guitars, Not Guns proudly present-
The Beggar Kings- perform “Beggars Banquet”, and “Let It Bleed” live, in concert
The Beggar Kings debuted august 15, 2015 with a packed house at the Rio to witness their recreation of the Rolling Stones’ “Exile On Main Street”, and “Sticky Fingers” albums, both #1 hits.
The Stones have released 29 studio albums, 21 live albums, and 29 compilation albums!
“The World’s Greatest Rock and Roll band” has never let up since the early 60s. Many agree the “Classic era” would be from 1968’s “Beggars Banquet”, 1969’s “ Let it Bleed”, through 1971’s “Sticky Fingers”, and “Exile On Main street”. The Beggar Kings began 2015 with "Exile", and "Sticky Fingers", so this show completes that great cycle.
“Beggars Banquet” marks the end of founder Brian Jones’ tenure with the band, after the record's completion ending in his tragic death.
The entrance of Mick Taylor on lead guitar on “Let it Bleed”, Nicky Hopkins on piano, Sax man Bobby Keyes, horns, Ray Charles/ Ike and Tina Turner’s background singers made for a big, new powerful sound that reflected
the excitement of Rock, with the majesty and groove of the great Rhythm and Blues acts like Otis Redding, or Aretha Franklin.
The Beggar Kings are a group of pro musicians/ aging juvenile delinquents who admire and love the Stones, spend much time researching parts, instruments, motivations, and a desire to reproduce it with passion and original energy.
The members have been in The Doobie Brothers, Moby Grape, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Boz Scaggs, James Durbin and Destroy the Night, The White Album Ensemble, and too many blues, rock and soul acts to mention here.
The group is-
lead vocalists Kevin Krilanovich, and Omar Spence; Guitarists Tom Ayres, Caleb Larsen;
Keyboards- blues harp- mandolin-guitarist Dale Ockerman; Bass/ vocalist Endre Tarczy, and for this gig the fabulous Paul Revelli on drums- plus The Pleasure Point Horns- Dan Young, John Hensley, Jim Hannibal, Percussionist Vince Sanchez, vocalist Connie Troupe and more surprises to come!
There will be a raffle at Intermission benefiting Guitar’s not guns, a pro arts- youth/ anti violent organization.
