Become an Elkhorn Slough Education Volunteer!

Looking to make a difference in a child’s life? The Elkhorn Slough Reserve Education team offers special training for people interested in working with school and youth groups. Education volunteers lead activities in the Visitor Center, Microscope Learning Lab, and on the trails. This special two and a half day training will prepare you for leading K-12 students in Reserve Education activities. When completed, you'll have the tools you will need to engage students and help them learn about this amazing place.

The training culminates on Wednesday evening, August 30, with volunteer presentations.

Education programs run year round, Wednesday-Sunday; Reserve staff will work with education volunteers to create a schedule that best fits their availability.
