About Art by Manuel Santana & Café de Olla

In honor of Manuel Santana, founder of Manuel's Mexican Restaurant, five giclee prints of his artwork will be displayed in the restaurant during their 50th anniversary celebration. Santana's colorful paintings were inspired by Picasso, Goya and Beckmann. He was awarded Artist of the Year by the Santa Cruz County Arts Commission in 2008, the year of his passing. Stop by Mar 9-13 between 2:30-4:30pm to view the art, enjoy a complementary some cafe de olla, which was traditionally prepared in a clay pot. Enter to win a print; no purchase necessary, $10 suggested donation for local charity.

From March 9 - 15, all restaurant meal sales will be donated to five local community groups:
Monday, March 9: Homeless Services Center of Santa Cruz
Tuesday, March 10: Second Harvest Food Bank
Wednesday, March 11: Teen Kitchen Project
Thursday, March 12: Cabrillo College Visual, Applied and Performing Arts
Friday, March 13: Women’s Crisis Support - Defensa de Mujeres
Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15: Donation will be divided equally among the five groups.
