About 13th annual Santa Cruz Harp Festival

Community Music School and the Museum of Art and History present the Santa Cruz Harp Festival in it's 13th concert event, exploring modern and historic music from all over the world on harps of all kinds. Soloists include: Harp Festival director Jesse Autumn, returning from New Orleans to play double harp and vocals; Santa Cruz County's 2017 Artist of the Year Shelley Phillips, on Celtic harp and woodwinds; premier classical harpist of Santa Cruz and the Monterey Bay, Jennifer Cass; and Community Music School alumni harpist/singer-songwriter Heather Monahan, celebrating the release of her first EP of original songs, "The High School Demo Tape". Also performing: the all-ages Community Music School Harp Orchestra, playing traditional and new music from England, Ireland, Zimbabwe and New Orleans. A harp "petting zoo" will be available at intermission for curious concert-goers. The MAH will offer a free interactive harp art project from 11am-1pm, with the concert beginning at 2pm.

Admission is free - donations are greatly appreciated and support Harp Festival artists and teachers. Community Music School is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization.
