11th Annual Holiday Gift Show

Join us Sunday December 2, 2018 to for the 11th Holiday Gift Show from 11a.m. – 5p.m. at the Westside’s Circle Church, 111 Errett Circle, Santa Cruz. Free and open to the public.

Art, jewelry, ceramics, glass, prints, cards, hand-painted scarves and tiles, clothing, handbags, accessories, baskets, gourds and more will on display by their makers. This art-lovers’ event includes music, a family friendly art activity and delicious Cali-fusion food catered by Shockwave, a gourmet food truck. Chef Stephen Geyer has a special, locally sourced menu planned for the day.

Exhibitors will be showcasing inspirational collections of handcrafted work. Many are Open Studio artists like Dawn O’Regan who will be showing her dynamic colorful fabric bags and purses and Jasper Marino who makes one-of-a-kind ceramics. Lynn Guenther will be showing her unique mixed metal jewelry embellished with gem stones. Sandra Cherk’s alluring pastel paintings and cards of local landscapes make great gifts. Other exhibitors include Paige Davis, Simon Marino, Gabe Carr, Steve Baranowski, Nina Marsh, Molly Brown, Nicole Zahm, Jo Kenny, Olivia Cater, Kris Mangliers, Heather Richman, and Roberta Arenson.

Well known local guitarist Steve Palazzo will be playing bluegrass music with his buddy Charlie Rice, and there will be harp tunes by Marina Fitch and Cathy Jones.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Westside Parent Education Nursery School, a pillar of the Westside community where some of the artist’s children attended. Paige Davis and Jasper Marino are emerging artists who graduated from WPENS years ago. We, as a collective of artists, wish to see the organization continue thrive and serve our community’s families into the future.

The Holiday Gift Show 2018 provides a fun, relaxed shopping experience for the whole family. Visitors have the opportunity to talk directly with the artists and learn about the techniques they use to create their work and can enjoy a hands-on art activity. Savor the day with good food and good music while finding great gifts and plenty of holiday spirit!
