Body of Missing Autistic Man Found
Erik Lippmann was last seen in his Seabright Avenue home at about 2 am on April 21. The 30-year-old autistic man disappeared some time after that. His body was found near Marina Beach early Thursday morning.
Body Found in Boulder Creek Elementary
Students were off yesterday at Boulder Creek Elementary School, while police investigated the cause of death of a man in his 30s, who was found on an outdoor, second-story balcony. The man was not a local resident, nor did he have any ties to the school.
Santa Cruz Animal Shelter Offers First Aid for Pets

UCSC Students Hit with Fine
UCSC has fined 36 students $944 each for the role they played in the occupation of Kerr Hall last November during the student strike on campus. The occupation of the building is said to have resulted in $34,000 in damages. Additionally, seven of the students were either dismissed or placed on probation for their participation in the event.
Longer Waits At The Bus Stop Ahead
The transit District has lost $1.6 million in sales tax revenue over the past year, while ridership has declined by 7.8 percent, meaning a $267,297 loss in revenue (plus a $93,000 hit because of declining paratransit numbers). In addition, state funds that would normally go to public transportation are being diverted to cover other looming budget gaps.
No Face Bandit Gets 12 Years
After a two-year robbery spree that spanned eleven banks (three of them in Santa Cruz County) in three counties, Peter Klein, the No Face Bandit, was spotted by an off-duty police officer leaving a bank in Gilroy. The former Vice President of the Monterey Pasta Company finally found himself in a noodle.
