Bonnie Raitt will headline the first annual Santa Cruz American Music Festival at Aptos Village Park on Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-24.

The multiple Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter and one of Rolling Stones “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” tops the bill of a lineup stacked with stellar acts in the Americana, Blues and Country music genres.

JJ Grey & Mofro, Ana Popovic, Los Lonely Boys, Coco Montoya with Chris Cain & Friends, Big & Rich, Ryan Bingham, and Big Sam’s Funky Nation are just some of the groups to perform in Aptos, just 14 minutes south of Santa Cruz and 40 minutes north of Monterey over the holiday weekend.

More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Continuing the tradition of bringing world-class music acts to Aptos, the Santa Cruz American Music Festival is produced by the same folks that hosted the Santa Cruz Blues Festival for more than 20 years before signing off for the last time in 2014.

Located at the Aptos Village Park in an intimate woodland setting, surrounded by redwood trees, the festival embraces a green philosophy towards sustainability.

Tickets go on sale March 1st.
