Don’t miss the performing arts festival of the summer. The Third Annual Santa Cruz Fringe Festival runs July 11-20.

Nearly 200 performances by approximately 30 different acts will take to the stage at seven venues across Santa Cruz. For the price of a ticket (individual shows are $12) you will see one-of-a-kind performances, including aerial acts, comedy sketches, improvisational theater, one-act shows, children’s theater, and more.

Getting the party started on Thursday, July 10 is Fringe Blast-Off, where you can see a number of free performances starting at 5:30 p.m. at Fringe venues, Aerial Arts Santa Cruz, The 418 Project, Veterans Memorial Building, Center Stage and Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center.

This year, Santa Cruz Fringe offers unique workshops, including a Sunday class on Afro-contemporary dance, incorporating the rhythms and cultural dance forms from the Caribbean diaspora, taught by New York’s Futurpointe Dance Company.
