The Cabrillo Stage has been hard at work with their third production of the summer, Oliver—Lionel Bart’s musical refashioning of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale.
Revisit Victorian London with Oliver Twist who just wants some more (please, sir!), Fagin, Nancy and Bill Sykes. Putting song and dance to the story of an orphaned-lad-turned-pickpocket, Dustin Leonard directs Cabrillo’s production, with choreography by Brance Souza. Entertainment for the entire family, this performance will feature famous songs like “Food Glorious Food,” “Where Is Love,” “Consider Yourself” and more.
Oliver! is the final production of The Cabrillo Stage summer musical season. Previous productions included Altar Boyz and Putting it Together. The next musical on the calendar is Urinetown, The Musical, opening at the Aptos theater in January.
Info: Oliver!, $16-$45, July 24-Aug 17. Cabrillo Stage, 6500 Soquel Drive, Aptos. 479-6154.
