Will Durst headlines Planet Cruz.
FUNGUS FAIR
The Fungus Federation of Santa Cruz not only exists, but also is throwing a weekend-long Fungus Festival for the 39th year in a row. A habitat display will feature fungal finds from all over the Santa Cruz/San Francisco/Monterey area and the Kids’ Room has got all kinds of crafts, from clay sculptures to mushroom-dyed fabrics. Learn about the local mushrooms, check out some unexpected art, and taste the area’s best and non-poisonous mushroom treats. Plus, I hear there’ll be some real fun guys there. ZE FRANK WEEKEND
First of all, it’s free and open to the public. If that’s not reason enough to get to the MAH this weekend, maybe the hands-on workshops, games, crafts, tours and interactive showcases will strike your fancy. Ze Frank’s webisodes address everything from kindness to sloths (and that’s only the two most recent installments) and his weekend takeover will surely be pleasantly zany. Activities all day Saturday and Sunday, showcase and casual reception with the man himself Saturday night.

NINA STOREY
Sultry-voiced songstress Nina Storey made her initial visit here more than a decade ago, with a club show in February 1999 and later that year at the Santa Cruz Blues Festival. Storey returns to Moe’s Alley this weekend, where she’ll celebrate the release of her new album, Think Twice, which showcases her vocal talents and finds her exploring new genres while revealing herself, in the words of one early review, as a “mischievous and seductive temptress.” https://www.santacruz.com/nina-storey-e1800931
PLANET CRUZ
The latest edition of Planet Cruz Comedy features modern troubadour/cover boy John Craigie, Peter Cor and the Planetoid Band, the Stupidest Criminal of the Month Award, and Will Durst, no known relation to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred. https://www.santacruz.com/cosmic-carnival-comedy-e1795981
ANTIQUE STREET FAIRE
For now, the easiest way to travel back in time is to roam Lincoln Street between Pacific and Cedar on the second Sunday of every month. With an eclectic array of vendors, the Faire offers vintage cameras, Liza Minelli-style sequined apparel, antique lamps, fur coats, browning postcards, plastic dinosaurs from before you were born, oversized glasses, and so many books. It’s like a hipster/old person’s paradise. https://www.santacruz.com/downtown-santa-cruz-antique-street-faire-e1796151
