They sound like FUN, Grouplove and Edward Sharpe with a little bit of Fleetwood Mac thrown in for good measure, and are constantly spreading their message of “universal love”. Come on down for a modern blast from the past.

Rodrigo y Gabriela on The Catalyst Main Stage

When this Mexican guitar duo’s dreams of metal fame didn’t come to fruition, they did what anyone would and moved to Europe to practice and pioneer their unique brand of acoustically and ferociously finger picking out their favorite metal hits. Eventually, that led to them working with Metallica, Disturbed and scoring Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides alongside the legendary Hans Zimmer. Gabriela’s insane picking speed and taps turn her into a one-woman rhythm section while Rodrigo’s playful and stylish chords tread lightly alongside, creating the illusion of a full live band.
