About Veterans Job Fair
Veterans Job Fair on April 6, 2017 at the Veterans Memorial Building
To give highly trained veterans exposure to employment opportunities that make good use of their skills, the Veterans Board of Trustees, United Veterans Council and the Veterans Services Office have teamed up with the Employment Development Department (Santa Cruz Office), Workforce Santa Cruz County and Vets 4 Vets (a non-profit organization) to present the Veterans Job Fair. Veterans, their family members, and friends of Veterans are all invited to come on April 6, 2017, from 1 – 4 p.m.
It is an honor to bring our veterans to the attention of local businesses. Companies attending include Santa Cruz Seaside Company, Granite Rock, Fox, New Leaf Community Market, Santa Cruz Bicycles, Comcast, Allied Universal Security, Dignity Health, Bright Vision Solar, County of Santa Cruz, City of Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Nutritionals, Granite Rock, Farmer Veteran Coalition, Goodwill Central Coast, California Conservation Corp, International Order of Electrical Workers, S. Martinelli & Co, Operating Engineers Local 3, University of California Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Police Department, and Workforce Santa Cruz County.
To prepare for the Veteran Job Fair, these FREE resume editing and interview practice events will be offered at the Veterans Memorial Building:
• March 28, 2017 from 1 – 3 p.m. Resume Building Class
? Professional guidance translating military service into desired job skills
• April 4, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m. Resume Review One-on-One
? By appointment only – sign up during the Resume Building Class
• April 5, 2017 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. Mock Interviews
